From what I understand norge forks are only adjustable for preload and have damping rods?
So my best bet is to get racetech emulators which are not really adjustable any way?

Way back around 2008 or so I had Todd install a cartridge emulator kit in my 2007 Norge along with a Hyperpro rear shock I also bought off of him. I think the brand was Hyperpro on the forks but I would have to look it up. They needed some drilling so I sent them to Todd and he set everything up for my weight and riding style. I think he leaned a bit too much towards race set up as it was a bit stiff for my liking. The Norge had almost no chicken strips but the very edge was virgin. I am even mor cautious on the California. I asdjusted the preload and damping at the rear and it was great. Not a lot off, just that little bit. The front was a bit harsh I felt also and Todd said he used 15wt oil in them. I called the manufacturer and got their recommendation and switched to 10wt. Who cares about adjustment when it rides and handles that nice. At that point adjustability would have been something I kept playing with till I got it wrong. :wait:
I was more than happy with the final results.

Thanks, the emulators were YSS, and the shock HP. The drop-in, no drilling required Matris Kit is even better then any emulator set up. Agreed that when you get the suspension right, there's nothing more enjoyable.

Todd are the matris springs progessive?
No they are straight rate, but I've done a few of these, and they always impress me... both in ease of install, and ride.

Todd do you offer just the matris emulators alone? Big fan of straight rate springs for track days not so much on the street.
We have 2 seasons in Western NY , Winter and Construction.
