Norge headlight problem

Another development that may or may not be related. Tonight I am back to no lowbeam or brights and my brake light is stuck on bright. I am going to chase down a relay tomorrow. Do those two circuits have anything in common or is this separate?

When you say brake light, do you mean brake light or tail light or both.

Either way, no direct relation what so ever to the highbeam/low beam circuit.

The tail lights work off the ignition switch. The brake lights do get power from the lighting relay, but it is routed through the brake switches first. Possible I guess, but not probable. Most likely a stuck brake switch.

Pick up two relays and change out both the HB and lighting relay. They are the same relay anyways. This way you will cover both angles if need be.

It ended up being the microswitch on the rear brake lever. Frustrating little thing. It screws into the rear brake lever and when you depress the brake lever, the microswitch extends and the brake light turns on. Take the foot off the lever, the switch is depressed and the brake light is off. It was just sitting there very loose and because it was not screwed all the way in, it was keeping the light on. I can't get it to go up snug so may just wrap the switch in tape to depress it so the brake light turns off. That way the front brake lever will operate the brake light again. Just ticked over 600 miles so time for first service and they can resolve along with the front lights. Is not related to the front lights but would be nice if it was.
