Over 80 degrees F and it starts getting hot down there. Over 90 it's a Lot hot and at 97-I had to use the passenger pegs.

Am I the only one?

Yes, heat is from the colostomy bag... it's part of the reason why I offer the GT Y-pipe. ;)

I should have been more specific. Will I need to remap?
THX Todd.
Welcome, and while it's not mandatory, I always recommend correction as they are horrifically fueled even bone stock. It will show the same improvements as your V7. ;)

I've read comments related to the Norge 8V exhaust that seem to assume the catalytic converter is in 2 places... Is it in the muffler unit or the compensator (colostomy bag)?

My understanding is that the "compensator" IS the catalytic converter. I have tried a cat-eliminator y-pipe myself, and apart from making the already poor fuelling issues even worse (Todd is right about the remapping), the bike was unbearably loud when fitted with a Mistral slip-on muffler. I ended up selling the y-pipe and putting the cat converter back on. It is now comfortably loud.
Back to your original question, it gets pretty hot over here in summer, and I've never noticed excessive heat down in the feet region.

Mine is so hot that I can't use vented summer boots as the way too hot air just kills my feet. I use a thicker boot as it will only get so hot due to the thickness.
