dealer rang me yesterday to say I would need to delay picking up my bike as whilst changing the front tyre some heavy handed fitter over tightened the spindle clamp bolts and cracked the bracket :banghead:
now got to wait for a part and of course Italy is on shut down  are there any temp fixes?

having ordered an "on the shelf part" on june 10th 2014 and still waiting ....don't hold your breath

I am sort of resigned to maybe see it in September some time

owned an aprilia for the last three years so not expecting miracles mate, hope your part arrives soon

There is a thread on here about welding it up and a few on this topic which is a known issue on the new ones. The pinch bolts only need to be nipped up

There are sometimes some forks on ebay that could be used.

dealer has checked the weld and all is well to pick up the bike tomorrow and take it back when the new part arrives from Guzzi to have it fitted at the dealers expense

picked the bike up yesterday but only managed to get a 100 mile run due to time but first impressions are good however when having a good look around I noticed this

by the look of the metal face it has never had a nut on so the question is should it?
