So I was reading on the moto guzzi club forum last night that someone said that the 08 and 09> bikes have the same ecu firmware now. With that in mind, is it possible to fit the 09 spec cams in to the 08 spec engine to smooth out the power curve around 5500rpm

Spoke to my dealer today. They advised that the cams and followers in my 08 Stelvio were now the same as an NTX because I have had the recall work done. They did say though that the airbox and fuelling were now the main difference between the two so does anyone have and thoughts on this? If I were to change my airbox for an NTX specific version, would I lose the 5500 torque curve?

Im after that silky smooth power curve...

Im not the most knowledgeable in this area so please correct me if I'm barking up the wrong tree here?

There is a thread over on wildguzzi where they are talking about a new fuel map. There seems to be some question as to weather or not this will apply to the older bikes or just the new version with the A8 motor. I'll be most interested, as my low range fueling is quite abrupt despite having the "52" fuel map.

Thinking about this over night... I believe the fuel tank is different on the NTX. Its been reshaped to accommodate the larger airbox so I guess that answers my question about whether an NTX airbox would go on my 08 Stelvio...

Pete pulled that thread over there.

I was wondering where that thread went. I was up at Riders Hill yesterday and had Ian pull it up with his navigator. "52" is still showing as the current map, and he's had no word of new maps comming down the pike, althought he did say he might not know anything until the day they are released, if, indeed they are coming.
