I have a 2012 NTX. Has anyone figured out a way to modify the pannier lid locks so you don't have to use a key to open and close them? Maybe removing the lock barrels and making up a padlock arrangement?

I've been looking for new locks that work better than the ones that come stock. These are basic cam locks, drawer locks or cabinet locks.
The locks on my Happy Trails panniers are quite good. Pull out a flap and rotate 90 degrees cam lock. Put a padlock onto them when you want to lock them.
