It was a bit cold riding to work today. Whilst trying not to breathe out, and continually wiping mist from the mirrors, I noticed the odometer had gone off and looked blank
It was dark, and the LCD figures don't show well, and my visor is misted up (why can't you buy something really useful, a heated visor :?: ) it might be me, so I peer at it whilst the 'bike veers all over the road, bouncing off parked cars and roadsigns  And see the last couple of digits come on, and flicker.
Great I think, washing it on Sunday has wrecked the dash, off to the dealer on Saturday.
Then it came back on, so I carried on. (cursing silently, as now they won't swap it out, the fault needs to be all the time  )
A while later, it has got a bit lighter, and it happens again.
Now I can see the digits, and it is displaying an error code 39. No EFI light, and it is still going ok, WTF is #39??
Then the odometer comes back.
Then it hits me: 39 is the temperature in Fahrenheit (I confirm with a few button presses) the dash must be in some sort of cycling mode, it must be the switch full of water or something.
When I got to work it occurred to me that there might be some pointless ice warning mode (like I don't know it's cold when the gear lever is solid and my visor mists up in a second :S )
I RTFM'd and it mentions ICE mode, but doesn't say what happens. Is this it?
