Appreciate the input on this. The dealer I use is waiting till spring to deal with the situation also. I have had a Tom Tom GPS on order and so far, 3 months later, nothing. Sad story. We just got walloped with 12+ inches of snow, so winter is officially here and won't be leaving any time soon. Does Moto Guzzi build a snow mobile?

Do yourself a favor and cancel the order for the TomTom. Get a Garmin Zumo and mount it in the same spot where the TomTom Mounts on the Norge. That's what I did, works great, looks great.

BCassidy:

Are you in the US? They have 65-ish in stock, but you cannot get one because the Piaggio USA system will only accept the number of which they have no stock. The correct number will not be accepted by the US system. You have to order the incorrect number in their system, and then have your dealer bug your local Piaggio rep enough that he will bug the Piaggio accessories rep enough that they can change the number in their order such that the part they have in stock actually gets shipped to your dealer. Have him call me if he wants some tips on how to effect this. It's why they have 65 in stock, rather than on bikes being used.

Re:brake rotor ?

The dealer I use said something about the stock number being screwed up, also when he ordered it Piaggio said he was not an authorized dealer to sell the GPS system (another Piaggio screw up). I may end up with the Garmin Zumo.

Re:brake rotor ?

I've jsut struck lucky in getting an award at work to enable me to purchase either a Zumo or a Rider Two, but the Zumo 550 is just going out of supply with one of the main retailers here in the UK and looking at the info it appears to be an older device than the TomTOm anyway. Been a big fan of Garmin for ages but unless I can get one from store stock, I may have to go TomTom

Re:brake rotor ?

I have heard the Tom Tom is a bit harder to learn how to use. I have a magellen in my F-350 and it works slick and is very easy to use. The Garmin I hear is simple also.

Re:brake rotor ?

I've heard that the Tom tom data base is better in Europe. The Garmin is better in the U.S. <shrug> I dunno.
