Should have been a separate thread. Seems to be a front seal or something above where the two halves of the block are joined. Since this bike is new and under warranty get to a dealer for repair under warranty.

The problem with that front seal was posted on here before. The first year with the wet alternator did present a few leaks from memory. I think it was a case of tightening and or replacing that seal. I also think a wire harness seal had caused issues exiting that front cover.I'll make a separate thread about my suspected leak. But without knowing I assume that correcting it (my problem) could involve changing gasket for the front cover. If I had a garage where the bike could be partly dismantled for days I could probably do it, but I dont. I live downtown in an old city and would like to be able to enjoy the Guzzi w/o having a workshop of my own.
If involves just tightening some bolts I'll do it, I was posting here in hope that someone have seen a similar problem and knows what to do.

So I can order properly, anyone know the part number for the inspection hole cover for a 2013 v7
Be careful when washing it. It's not a car, don't want to get water in a electrical connection or where you don't want it. Next post will be washed bike now wouldn't start lol.
According to my "awesome" yet possible outdated part's manual, you would be correct sir.GU93180220 I think it is the same part used since the V700 Ambassador.
ok, when I change the gear oil, is it ok if the front wheel is 2-3 inches above the ground in a front wheel stand? The bike would be level side to side. And, as I understand, I should fill until it's filled up to the opening, and no more. Or perhaps it should be less? What does experience say? I've been told some horror stories about filling on the side stand, or getting bad numbers from the manual.
some say the book is wrong or misleading, have followed it with problems. Some people say too much will blow the seals; now you say don't under fill and I'll have other problems. Perhaps this isn't the right bike for me.........
Also, I'm not 100% sure this is gear oil, ugh.
