Does any one have a problem with the oil fill cap coming loose from vibration, which then causes some oil to splatter out? I've tightened it with pliers but it still eventually comes loose.
Any solutions?
Otherwise I love my new Stone, I've already got 3k miles on it and I've only had it for a couple of months. :p

Placid,

That's a common issue. There are a couple of solutions;
1 - tighten with pliers
2 - fit the dipstick cap with a D-ring and wire in place
3 - drill the cap and block, and pin in place

I wire mine:

Common, really? Mine is usually a bear to take out. Needs vice locks to remove. Maybe I'll safety wire mine just in case.

Really, happened once to my 11 V7 racer, I use a pair of plier to check dip stick ever after

Thanks everybody, I'll have to check on the o ring. I used pliers but it still works itself loose. Maybe I'll try a D ring

These threads have had me watching my dipstick like a hawk (maybe I should rephrase that) ON MY STONE...

...I hand tighten it, GOOD AND SNUG, and I usually need an extra grunt to get it loose.

It hasn't loosened in service yet.

I also keep a close eye on the O-ring.

Maybe I should pick up a spare O-ring just in case - hmmmmmmmm.
