I have a 2009 Griso. Was just wondering if they sell an aftermarket filter for it Like a Fram, Emgo, etc.?

All the later big blocks use the same filter and yes there are aftermarket ones available but why bother??? The originals are hardly expensive and substituting something else will invalidate your warranty!

While 'List' price may be stupidly high if you try any of the good aftermarket suppliers you can get OEM filters for a lot less. Order a slab of 'em and a set of replacement rocker cover gaskets and 'Tampons', (Yes that's what they're called!) for the bolts and a cople of other odds and ends to help with postage and you'll have everything you need and won't risk the warranty.

Where to buy? The usual suspects.

MPH, Moto International, MG Cycle, Guzzi Classics, Speakers etc......

I use Wix filters, in the US they are also sold as NAPA Gold. The NAPA number is 1215. The Wix number I think is 21215 but I am not sure, check on their site if you care. It is easier to find NAPA Golds in the US then stores that sell WIX, but they are higher quality then OEM and cheaper.

Edit: Not trying to argue with someone as smart as Mr Roper (he knows more about Guzzis then I will likely ever know) but in the US atleast using a different brand oil filter then OEM (or any other part) does not invalidate your warranty unless they can show that the faulty aftermarket part caused the failure.

How many Guzzi dealers are doing it tough out there ?. If the difference in cost between the specified filter and an aftermarket one is keeping food on your table then you should'nt be running a bike at all.
GO AND SPEND SOME MONEY AT YOUR LOCAL DEALER . HE WILL APPRECIATE IT :*

I do shop at my local Guzzi dealer every now and then. But it seems every time I do I regret it. If he is not going on about how they are going to drop the Guzzi line then they are babbling about they latest ubber Ducati (their bread and butter). I like my local dealer, but they seem to lack commitment to Guzzi (although they have kept selling them) and are much more focused on Ducati, and after years of racing Ducatis I pretty much have had my fill of them.
But I buy NAPA/Wix filters because I prefer the higher quality (yes I've cut them open to check). Tires and what not I buy from my dealer. If me not buying overpriced filters from my local dealer puts them out of business then something is seriously wrong.

What else does the NAPA filter fit? I'm sure they don't carry them just for Guzzis. Some kind of car must use them. Nice to know if in a pinch.

This is correct. There is nothing special about UFI filters. I stock UFIs for bikes such as the smallblocks for which I can't find a substitute and for those who won't settle for anything "less" than OEM. Everybody else gets HiFLos.

I checked the Fram website & I guess as you guys must know it fits a HD!! I was surprised.
