Help !!!
The bike is my'87 NTX and all of a sudden it started to puke oil out onto the rear wheel after a 160km/hr motorway thrash.
I did the last oil change over two years ago and used the usual 80/140 w oil including some moly and have done a good few thousand km's since with no probs.
Has anyone had this happen as I havn't in years of Guzzi ownership including a simular V50.
I saw holts post and I'm now wondering if water hasn't got in as there was an allmighty storm jut prior but I find it really hard to believe that the breather would let in water.the puke shows no water content at all and now happens every ride .
I'm also wondering about modding the breather to include an extenstion pipe to run back up higher ...
I guess I should really check the oil in there but I'm up to my neck with work and also have a sick van to attend to !!!!

Yes, water can get in through the breather in really extreme conditions. Drain and re-fill the box. It'll cost you pennies to change the oil but NOTHING will kill a set of bevel gears quicker than wate in the oil, and THAT my friend will cost you!

Changing the bevel drive oil really isn't a big job; 15 mins and its done. Then you'll also know if the oil is contaminated. Before doing that, go back and read what Pete wrote once again.
