Just got it firing!
So after nearly two decades of accident free riding, I had a low speed, low side. Thankfully, I was not going very fast 20-30mph but there is still damage.
Me: a few bumps and bruises and a broken humerus
The bike doesn't look to bad. Shifter is loose but doesn't seem damaged. The shoulder screw that attaches it simply broke. Both turn signal lenses are scratched but not broken. The left mirror is scratched as is the bar end and clutch lever. The y pipe cover is scratched, and the can has rash on it. None of that really concerns me to much but the valve cover took a shot as expected.
I have not started the bike since the accident (Sunday morning), nor have I contacted my insurance company. Should I take the bike to the dealer for evaluation, should I call the adjuster...
If the damage is as superficial as it appears I would just assume fix the bike without evolving the insurance co.
How worried should I be that I ruined the motor?
As all parts of the exhaust show damage I am thinking about a complete stainless system. I've always liked ARROW but I believe they only make their headers and "Y" pipe in Ti. Truthfully, I don't like the color shifts TI usually get. Does anyone know if they make their headers in SS or does someone else make stainless headers for our bikes?
