So just about a year ago, a guy on this forum (WI V7 Racer) who did Todd's pipes and reflash had a chance to ride together and swap bikes. We have identical bikes, with mine being mostly stock. I posted my comparison on another site that wasn't favorable, I had experienced poor running on his bike near 100mph. While I did experience poor running at that speed, I realize now about 1 year later it was most likely rider error and NOT Todd's products.

How do I know this? Because the same damn thing happened on my bike yesterday:

I was doing my usual commute into work, I realized I hadn't "done the ton" all summer. So I had a nice clear stretch tucked in an opened her up. I'm just about ready to hit the ton and all of sudden things start popping and mis-firing and I realize I'm only in 4th gear and hit the rev-limiter.

I take another run this time in 5th and top out at 109. I then recall the experience on my friend's GT V7 and realize I was probably in 4th gear. So yeah, I'm an idiot. Obviously, I don't need a more powerful bike or 6 speeds, I wouldn't remember to shift.

I've already made the apology to my riding buddy (if we swap bikes again, I'll try to remember to shift), and I fully endorse Todd's products and service.

I hope you posted the same kind of apology to Todd on the board you posted the negative comments originally.
Other than that, good on you for posting your mistake.

I did, of course that thread drifted long ago and is now talking about Larios.

Shit, I am a big fan of Larios. Oh well. Maybe I can take mine for a ride in the next few days. Great bike, but quirky with a fragile reputation ( I say "reputation" because mine has not blown up, yet)

Well thanks for coming clean Andy. I wondered why you posted elsewhere and not here since it was my products. I invest a huge amount of money and time in what I offer, so posts like that have long term damage, especially when they live on and people don't read to the end. Anyhow, most all of those whom have ridden GT-modded V7's come away quite thrilled.
