Hi all,

I have oxfords fitted to my B11. Now they're a few years old, they are wearing down and getting sticky on warmish days as low as 20C. Has anyone had any luck covering them?

I've thought about tennis racket grip tape (don't know if it's waterproof), or maybe a piece of bicycle inner tube (ugly). Maybe something from the fishing or boating industries.

Has anyone had any success with anything? I don't want to replace them because of the cost and them being a PITA or remove.

Have you thought of large diameter shrink tube, then adding a friction/rubber layer? Also a possibility is the coating you can apply to tool handles, but I'm not sure how it would take the heat.

I will research the commercially available options first, although I don't want really thick grips.
I did think of the heat shrink but that can shrink wrinkly and maybe be uncomfortable on long hauls. If I can find grip rubber tubing it may work.

I now have lots to research. I'll report back on my findings, although it may take a while as the weather has been so good here I've been riding every day.
