A bit of touch up is needed on my red 1200 sport. Can anyone help me find the paint code for this hot sexy color? :)

Dodge Viper red is a very close match to the Guzzi red used on the Norge. When I had my Guzzi top case repainted, after self ejection, the shop that repainted it used the Dodge paint. It is a very close match, with the Guzzi red being just slightly redder. The shop attempted to get the Guzzi paint code but apparently there was a problem cross referencing paint used by Guzzi with the paint brand the shop used. I am looking at a touch up bottle I bought from the Dodge dealer a few weeks ago, so when something gets dinged I can fix it. The number on the small bottle is PRN 82400792AB.

Copying from a series of post that might still be around:

> Here's the red mix in PPG/DBC; 908276, which is a Ferrari oem color known as Rosso Corsa. The silver paint mix code is 914092.
> GRIGIO EXCALIBUR SCHOCH 675 ALP11-13675-003560.

I found an alternative for the red at my local hobby shop - Model Master Chrysler Engine Red Enamel #2732 (that's the brush on bottle - it's also available in a spray can). If it's not a perfect match, it's so close that only a painter could tell the difference.

Even easier to find here, I think, as most auto-parts stores in USA have it, is "ScratchFix29n1" with folloiwng ID codes:

NG GM 398, Bright Red, 81, WA 8774, General Motors

I am not skilled in using touch-up paint. In fact, I'm afrraid to take inventory of what I AM skilled in.

But, I have the expected rock nicks after 37K miles and, IMO (admittedly not a finding of scientific fact), the color match is very good.

One of these days, I'll have some pro do an overall paint redo or something, but in the meantime, this product is quite fine.

As with all things, YM(as do some Norge "reds!)MV.
