I have a *ton* of mapping questions, but let me start with the most basic one.

I have a V11 Le Mans Nero Corsa with a Power Commander III USB and I'm looking at the available maps for Guzzis. I've been working on the assumption that I can use the maps I've found for V11 Sports, the V11 Le Mans being the same bike but with a fairing. However, I'm haunted by the nagging thought that perhaps there is some difference I don't know about, or a distinction in model years that I should be aware of.

Are the V11 Sport maps indeed a good starting point for me?

Thank you,

Steve

Steve, V11S maps (any variants) in the model years '00-02 will work on the same years, but the '03-05 maps are slightly different. Also, be aware of PCIII maps that were built around the factory "Titanium slip-on muffler and ECU."

Oh, darn. All it seems I have here are maps for 2000-2001 V11s.

There are a couple of '03 and '04 maps here: http://www.v11lemans.com/forums/index.p ... topic=1020 but those both indicate the Ti mufflers. When you wrote, "be aware" did you mean "beware" as in avoid?

My bike is an '04 Nero Corsa with stock mufflers, stock crossover, stock ECU but K&N pod filters rather than an airbox. The map that was in the bike when I bought it had for the notes:

V11S
Open Air Box w/ BMC air filter
Quat-D Muffler from Ghezzi and Brian

I'm assuming that I'm probably not going to find a map already made that is specific to my bike and config. Is there somewhere for me to look where I can find maps that will be close? I also understand that how I ride and what I want to optimize will be important variables.

Yes, beware as in stay away. The Ti ECU is horribly rich (which BTW, I have PCII maps for them). Most of the maps you'll find online are from my library. Ping me direct. ;)
