Hi Guzzistas,

My name is Shiv, I'm from the UK.
This April a van has decided to turn right in to my bike, so now I'm buying a new one. Was thinking of V7 initially but it looks like V9 is the one.
Reading A LOT regarding modding, especially V7 III and V85, I was surprised I couldn't find much info on V9 modding. Which I find peculiar, because cruisers are traditional donor bikes for customs.
What I'm trying to find out is how to get more power/torque out of V9. What I am looking to gain ideally is faster acceleration, top speed is more than fine for me.
Can anyone give some advise on essential mods for V9? All help appreciated.
Best regards,

Shiv

P.S.Please don't blame me if I didn't find the right thread on the forum.

Hi Shiv
I have a Roamer and believe that the V9 is a bit of a niche bike that not many people have spotted
Custom wise, I agree there not much out there
Re acceleration, I'd say try one first , as I find mine goes like a scalded cat when asked in the right gear
Mapping upgrades they exist both here and other places if you look
Good luck I hope that you join the V9 cult
