Tuned and Synch'ed
Believe I've just about finished wiring the "Popemobile". So, my questions are mainly about the kickstand electrical. The way I read the wiring diagram (which is to say without a great deal of understanding of electrical components), the kickstand switch (called the "coil control device" on the wiring diagram) either allows current to pass to the ignition coils or not. When not, the kickstand idiot light should be on. So, is it not possible for the bike to idle while on the side stand? I guess one could have it on the center stand, so maybe that's a non-issue. Also, what is the point of the commutator for sidestand warning light? Do I even need it with my setup?
On another note, the M-Unit's start circuit can handle 30 amps, supposedly. As that will just power the solenoid, I think I should be fine without any fuse, or should I put an in-line fuse between M-Unit start out and the starter solenoid?
Here's my own wiring diagram:
Many thanks!
