It seems w is riding this way for a santa monica superbowl event, I'm planning on riding as well. Anyone else, and who wants to meet where? There is always starbucks on ventura and topanga, or the Rock Store, but starbucks lets us ride the twisties together, and drive past Todd's driveway.... I'm game for anytime, just post if you're heading this way and I will schedule my ride accordingly, if I dont hear from folks, I'll just take off.
Cheers,

go cards....

I should be in. I'm formalizing plans at the moment. Post your best meeting time/place. Starbucks on Topanga is fine with me. I'll likely need to be in Santa Monica by 3pm.

Starbucks on topanga and ventura is a logical starting point, what time you want to roll? We can do all the twisties and get you back to santa monica with a 9:00 start (actually, if we ride more than talk, ~3 hours should cover most of the twisties), also avoid any coldness, but I'm all in for earlier or later....
cell 818.675.5094 Todd should be able to join us as we drive past his driveway, he could participate for 15 minutes and do most of the ridin...

Heh, shoot me a text when you pull out from Starbucks and I'll watch for you guys. The inlaws are coming in tonight, so I'm not sure what's on the agenda, but I should be able to break away for 15 minutes or so. ;)

If I dont hear different, I will be at the ventura/topanga starbucks at 9:00, if another time is preferred, just let me know.... OC Johnny may be up on his ZX-9R to join in...

Rich,
I only have MFG shirts left other than safety bob's shirt I've been saving for him. What size you want? If you dont post before you leave, I will bring and extra large
Cheers

Todd, I'll snag my jacket, if that works for you.
Works for me, so you'll come to the house then, yes?

Great ride guys, thanks---- How freakin cool that Todd's new digs are on twisty bit heaven.... Perhaps Mark at MGC should consider relocating....

Yeah, nice ride-- very relaxed and zen. Thanks again, Todd, for bolting me back up. The starter worked the rest of the day, and I got home in one piece about an hour ago. At least I know how to deal with it until I can get it cleaned up. Battery seems to be working okay, though.

Say, did you guys go down Piuma? Rich and I waited a bit, but I needed to get fuel. My pleasure on the repairs... glad to be of help. Great seeing everyone, lets do it again soon.

Heh heh. We were behind you down Piuma, but after you guys turned right onto Las Virgines, we did a 180 and did Piuma back to Scheuren, then split up and went our separate ways. From there, I rode down to PCH, then back up Topanga to Old Topanga, back to Mulholland, back up Stunt, to Scheuren, to Piuma, to Las Virgines, then back to PCH and into Santa Monica. Great ride, great day.

Hey Wallis, sounds like you are healed up and feeling like your Good ol' self...Glad to hear it. B) B)

Thanks there, Mike. Yeah, getting better, slowly but surely. The riding is one of the best shoulder therapies I've come up with. Builds some strength without inducing inflammation. It's the bad inflammation of the rotator cuff that's been difficult to overcome. When I was in PT, the exercises they had me doing would cause the entire joint to shut down for 1-2 weeks, then I'd have to start over from scratch-- sort of hit the wall and never got any better. Riding mountain roads requires just a little bit of work from the rotator cuff, so the more I ride, little by little, the strength is starting to come back. Yeah, physical therapy, that's the ticket. ;-)
