Hi Guys, my front brake master cylinder on my 06 Breva 1100 is leaking slightly and on asking if an overhaul kit is available i have been told Brembo does not do a repair/seal kit for the PS16. If this is correct can anyone point me in the right direction to get seals from another master cylinder that will fit. Thanks in advance.

My Breva cylinder was leaking too, I stripped it down and there was a very small amount of "gunk" in the bore at the entrance. I used some very fine 1000 grit wet/dry paper with a drop of oil to lubricate it to remove the imperfections, it wasn't rust or pitting but a build up of "crap", this was causing the seal to not seat properly. Its been fine ever since. I put the wet/dry aroung my little finger and used very light pressure.

Todd has performed many upgrades. He may have a choice used Master Cylinder. Use the contact tab in the store to inquire. I was able to obtain one for a customer's bike.

You're in the UK, so they may be available. Try gutsibits.co.uk

Thanks for your reply. Gutsibits are my go to supplier of parts and they are the ones that told me that there is no overhaul/seal kit for the PS16. And after searching the net i think they are right. Ive followed Kevins idea and cleaned out the master cylinder which was very dirty. the seals and bore look perfect so will see if this has made any difference.

All seems well after a good clean and reassembly. Brake bled and no leaks so far. It gave me the chance to strip and repaint the master cylinder body too. The only issue i had was replacing the outer rubber dust cover for the piston pin, which fell to pieces when taking it apart. I used the last inch from the small finger of a heavy duty rubber glove for this, which worked a treat.
