Would any of our friends on this forum be familiar with the provenance of this machine and vendor and have any helpful opinion? I know its originality is compromised but it appears to have enough S3 left in it to retain some of the spirit of the S3. I know there will be opinion that it's a only (only!?) a T3 with an S3 tank and saddle but it appeals to me. Also, if I were to buy it would someone in the area be able to 'look after it' for me until shipping could be arranged? If so I'm afraid you'd have to ride it every now and then to keep it freed up but that's a sacrifice you'll have to make to the greater good.

Peter, I'm sure we can find a home for it. Would you want to keep it somewhere in New Mexico, or would you be willing to ship it to SoCal?

I don't understand the e-bay listing. That bike is a T3, not an S3. The frame and motor are T3. I don't buy the story that this bike was an S3 that was crashed and repaired. You might as well sell a Honda CB350 as a Manx Norton.
