Tuned and Synch'ed
Hi. I'm a new member on this board, and wanted to give a brief introduction for myself--and ask my first Moto Guzzi question
I'm a 60+ motorcyclist and have has been riding since I was 20 years old.
My first bike was a 1964 Triumph 500cc, that I bought in 1969. And though I have owned several modern sport bikes--Kawasaki Ninja, Aprilia RSV, and Triumph Daytona 675 (I still have that one)--I'm really all about the way bikes looked when i was a kid.
In fact, I still own a couple of those bikes: an essentially stock 1968 Bonneville I bought and restored back in 1980; and a 1970 Triumph Trophy 650--the "scrambler " model--that I have owned nearly as long, but that is now being reborn as a hand-built (by me) cafe racer.
However, I am not oblivious to the advantages of modern brakes, modern fueling, and better day-to- day-reliability. Hence my current hankering after a V7 Racer.
I've got my eye on one, and if the deal falls through, I'll keep looking.
I am already imagining the mods I'll be making. Which brings me to my first post on this list...
Can someone point me to a pic of a V-7 Racer with what the parts book calls the "rear fairing"--ie the "7" plate over the seat bum stop--removed?
I have looked all over the i-net and I cannot find a single picture of same.
The parts book shows a full seat under that plastic, and I'm sure someone has de-blinged their Racer just that little bit. I know I plan to!
