Sorry if I'm a bit over-hyped. I'm just so delighted with this bike, I cannot express it.
As I thought it might, my ride this morning turned on Racer's low fuel warning with the GT map in place.
I scooted over to the gas station within 3 miles of it turning on and filled the tank: Racer made 199 miles and took 3.98 US Gallons.
So, nominally a 5.5 US Gallon tank, just about right on 50mpg, and warning at 1.5 gallons left. Since I never really want to run an EFI pump dry, let's leave a half gallon in the tank and conservatively say Racer has a 250 mile range to empty including reserve. That's almost as good as the LeMans V was (256 miles to reserve, which on that bike would run 38 miles).
Racer is a traveler, definitely. Cruise at 75 to 80 mph in top gear is a very comfortable 4000-4800 rpm, and with that kinda range, we can really go places!
