Hello again folks. My Breva 1100 has the same recurring problem that the rear tyre wears out. I take it out of the garage, turn it on, ride it. That fuel stuff keeps needing topped up as well. This bike is SO unreliable (you'll wish you hadn't said that! - ed)
Anyho... I usually ride-in/ride-out for my tyre changes but decided to just drop the wheel off this time (saves waiting). So... do you experts use a torque wrench to tighten the rear wheel bolts? I would never usually bother. I've never used one on car wheels. I felt how tight they were when I removed the wheel and tightened them back up to much the same putting it back on. I think that equates to a torque setting of "pretty darn tight" but not bum-clenchingly so.
Incidentally the rear I just had replaced ran for the last 4k miles (out of 6k) with a Stop'n'go tyre plug in. Lost about 2psi every month but worked a treat!
