Got the handbook out on the Breva to see what it says about rear wheel removal.
note says take it to your Moto Guzzi dealer or professional mechanic.

Is there a useful quick guide to this task?

Want to remove wheel to enable a tyre to be changed.

what i can see is
silencer to be removed
rear skidmarx hugger
rear brake caliper?

your thoughts/comments appreciated

Your list is correct except that the hugger can stay in place. Very simple really.
Easiest to crack the 4 bolts holding the wheel on before you remove the brake calliper.

Muffler can stay in place too. Same about the caliper. Easiest if you put the bike in gear first. It makes install easier. Also the 1100 Breva will balance like a BMW R model. Put it on the center stand, remove only one wheel, and it will settle on the other. I torque to 80 lb-ft on install. For that amount of torque, it is best to do it in two stages (torque all to 35 or40, then the final of 80). Factory spec is 110 Nm which converts to 81 lb-ft

Thanks Brian and John :)
Will get to it, shame there is no where in either the handbook or workshop manual to tell you about this.

Cheers
Steve

The old owners manuals would cover wheel removal. I guess Piaggio has too many lawyers.

I recommend you down load the workshop service manual & parts list from the downloads tab at the top of this website page! They'll tell you so much more than the owners handbook.
