Recall Question?

I just picked up my Stelvio from it's first service and it had the warranty recall work done. Riding it back home it seemd like the bike sounded different (Deeper and not as clean) and mostly I found it to have lost some torque in 1st and 2nd gear. Has anyone else experience a similar thing?

The only bits that have *changed* are the tappets themselves. The cams are identical in terms of part #'s so one assumes there is no profile change, (Certainly my *new* and *old* cams looked identical to the nekid eye). I would think that if one of the cn sprockets had slipped a tooth you'd get bent valves on that cylinder and unless there is a requirement to remove and fiddle with a whole lot more stuff on the Stelvio than there is on the Griso I can't see why anything else would of changed???

It might be worth whipping the rocker covers off for a looksee and to double check the valve clearances, (And possibly make sure the pushrods are in the right way up.) bit other than this I can't see anything that would of made any difference. Certainly my bike didn't change apprecieably when i swapped the cams.

I didn't notice any difference when mine was done, but I did adjust the tappets after 150 miles, I also did the string mod around the plug cap , making them easier to remove next time, can't remember who posted that tip:unsure: , but many thanks for a brilliant idea, all the best G

Picke mine up last Sat. afternoon and have put about 350 km. on it since. I notice no difference in power or torque. It runs a whole lot better low down though. (Throttle position sensor had to be re-set) FBC

Got mine back last week and was ok when I drove it home. However, took it out for a blast last night and it has certainly lost some power and also 'pings' when I pull it under power.

Its going back again to be sorted.
