Good to see MG is doing well.....

Sales record for Moto Guzzi
In the first half of 2012, the House of Mandello showed a + 20% in sales. The absolute numbers are small, but Roberto Colaninno said he was satisfied "with this result, given all the gray market" "Moto Guzzi is growing by over 20% in six months - said Colaninno

Gee, maybe the "mysterious" drop in this year's price for the Griso 8VSE (here in the US: $2,000 less than when I bought mine last year) played a part in this?... not that I'm bitter about it...

Price drop on the Griso and the V7 Racer is becoming real popular world wide. If they will just get better dealer & parts support & do some advertising........ A recent study shows bike sales growing 7% a year for the next 5 to 7 years.

Darn. It's good for the company, but I'd hate for my Griso to lose its uniqueness on the roads around San Diego. I kind of like those "W...T....F....???" expressions I get all the time as I ride by.

So I take that the dealer in Gainsville sucks then? :D

There is no Guzzi Dealer in Gainesville.

There are 3 in the North FL area but so far I've not been impressed by their knowledge or willingness to correspond by email. They may be good people I just haven't had any dealings with them.

Riders Hill in North Georgia is where I bought the Cali Black Eagle & they are great but a 7+ hour drive from here.

So, yeah I'd like to see some better dealer's & dealer/parts support. I also share the sentiment that I don't want Guzzi's to become commonplace. I like unique.

. . . any sales profile by model?
Nope.

See (liberal) translation underneath:

...Il presidente del Gruppo italiano ha dichiarato che i risultati del Gruppo da gennaio a giugno sono in linea col budget, ma si distingue la performance di Moto Guzzi. “Moto Guzzi sta registrando una crescita di oltre il 20% nel semestre - ha detto Colaninno - come gruppo Piaggio abbiamo raggiunto gli obiettivi di budget e ci riteniamo soddisfatti di questo risultato, visti i chiaroscuri del mercato"...

...the president of the Italian group stated that the group's results between January and June are in line with the projected budget, but Moto Guzzi's performance stands out from the pack. "Moto Guzzi is showing a 20% + growth this semester - said Luigi - as Gruppo Piaggio we have reached the budget goals and we are fine with this result, particularly considering the shitty economy we find ourselves in... now, let's keep our fingers crossed and pray that nobody notices that the new Cali 1400 has been developed on the platform for the new Ercole..."

Alright, alright, maybe a bit too liberal...

If I really need some help from someone working on my bike, I'll take it to Euro Cycles in Tampa/Clearwater...
They useed to be a Guzzi dealer but they still welcome Guzzistas I heard.
Do you know anything about them?
And I also bought my 2 Grisos from Ridershill and took a friend of mine last winter, she bought a 09 Tuono.
Then we went riding on road 60. Fun times.

Not yet. They are only a couple hours from here. If they are open on Sundays I'll take a ride there & see what's up.

Rt60 is fun.
