I have Bubs on my 850T and they're great. Last time around I had them sandblasted, then used a can of VHT of each one, and since I had access to an industrial oven, I baked them up to abut 600F. That held up pretty well for 15 years, but rust is starting to come through on the headers.

I no longer have the oven at my disposal, and am thinking maybe I should send them out for black plasma coating. Any recommendations for vendors or other thoughts?

Thanks Todd. Looks like there are several places fairly close I can take them to. Only one has posted pics of their work. Will call a few and see what gives. Sounds like a powder coat that then gets baked?
