Hello

I still wonder why Moto Guzzi writes in the manual of the Breva 1100ABS, that if the sacred screw has been altered, the whole throttlebody AND(!) the electronic must be changed!

I understand that the throttlebody must be changed but why the elctronic (ECU)??
Only because of the TPS reset?

I noticed, that if I look a newer manual, eg from the new Norge, there is only written, that if the sacred screw has been altered, ONLY the throttlebody must be changed.

Now my question is, what is the relation between the throttlebody and the ECU?
I cannot immagin any reason, why the ECU must be changed as well.

Thanks for your answers

ciao from Switzerland

You have noticed another fine example of Guzzi technical writing. Only the throttle body needs to be changed if the screw is altered. Once changed all that is needed is a TB sync and TPS reset. Some have been able to live with an altered TB stop and gotten it close to factory position, but still this is incentive to not touch that screw.

Thanks John for the confirmation. I was thinking almost 1 year about this strange sentence in the manual.
nevertheless, I have the feeling that to find again the right position of the altered sacred screw is almost impossible.
I think, to win in the lottery is much easier.
