I don't know how many are checking in on the National Guzzi Relay thread HERE - but it looks like our time is coming soon to make a run with it. Right now, it's in Hollister with Mark W. I think the plan is to have Jamileh pick it up from Mark, and perhaps coordinate with JDGretz and I (and any other takers?) to grab it from her and head South. Big question is, is there anyone is San Diego that's interested in showing it around this year? The Sandy Eggo contingent did a great job last year, handing it off to Lupo near the AZ border.

If not, we will try and take it to Death Valley at some point to get it to Tim C in Vegas... my thoughts was to get it to Bonneville to hang on the Salt with Team Meteor... but that's coming quick. Thoughts as to where you'd like to see it go?

Sound off below if you're interested in being part of the Relay Team '09.

Looking forward to being a part of the relay, and btw, I'll be coming to LA the weekend of 8/15 for my mom's 90th (I was born when she was 61, obviously....). Can always ride down and bring the baton south, if helpful.

Thanks Jam, otherwise... crickets.

Wing Commander Eagan,

We are parked on the runway, keeping the engines warm, ready for orders.

Grazie Flight Lt.! Be in touch.

Jamileh will be headed south with the baton this weekend. JDGretz... we'll chat in the main thread.

Man, no takers or interest in helping out this year from the SoCal'ers eh? Sad.

Tim, I'll be in touch soon too... keep an eye on the main thread as well.

I can only do about 500 miles away from LA on a weekend. If it is during the week, I cannot play.

No problem, this will be a daily run/ride somewhere to raise money for the IRF. I'll post again this weekend when the baton arrives... or watch the main thread in the MG-RA section.

Guys, Jam is bringing the baton down from Visalia today, and we're going to send her off tomorrow with a ride North. See the Relay thread in the MG-RA section.

Takers? Post in the Relay thread.
