I bought an 850 Cali T3 as a basket case and I have a Rita ignition with it. The coil bracket is a single bracket for both coils with a bend at one end. For the life of me I cant work out where it is supposed to fit. Is there anyone who knows?

You are fitting a Lucas (“Prince of Darkness”) electronic ignition to a Moto Guzzi? 😱

Brave soul. Good luck with that one. Wish I could give you better advice but never done one before

Nothing wrong w/Rita's, my brother has them on Triumphs. You are not to ask questions on the introductions section.
I have mounted coils under sidecover where they are on stock position. I have also mounted them under fuel tank on center frame. The brackets may fit in these places. Good Luck.

I did some research, came up with Rex's Speed shop in UK has a board for them that don't work. Do a search you'll find it.

It worked amazingly well on my Le Mans 2 for about 4 or 5 years and one day stopped ( typical of electronics, not too
much warning ) . If I didn't enjoy playing around with points so much , I'd consider the Rita , because it got rid of the entire
mechanical advance mechanism and gave a near flawless advance ( or that's what I noticed with a timing light ) . YMMV :) , Peter

My T 3 had one fitted and it worked well until the battery got tired/very cold....then it would not fire. They require higher voltage that the starter motor needs to turn over and so the bike would turn over but not start.A royal pain to diagnose and also when it lets you down at 2.30 am 40 miles away from home in winter. I went to a Piranha/newtronic and swapped the Rita for some bits...never looked back, never had that problem again.
