Pete and Jude are staying with us through Friday night before returning to Oz, if you hava any suggestions for fun, post em, they seem up for just about anything..... These freaking ropers are a blast....

I'm buried Jon, and still hoping to ride away later today en route to the National.

Let Pete know I'm still waiting for the electronics to reflash the ECU, so no go there. It must be coming by slow boat.

Darn Jon
I would really like to get together, but a bit south. I guess they dont be needing to catch my cold either. We`re going camping thursday/ thursday eve. to William Heise park in Julian.... lots of room and B&B`s too.
Tell that loveable ol guzzi codger I said a big hello ! Bill R

All the post i've read involving the Roper, i never realised he was from oz. It's conicidental, because i have another iconic figure from the ozzy motorcycle world over this week. Jonny Munn, famous for his drag bike racing (John Hobb's "Hobbit") in the UK during 70's and 80's. He's over from Melbourne for the Moto Melee this weekend. I wonder if their paths have ever crossed, both being well respected in their chosen fields of motor bikes, the restoration of, the fine tuning, etc and of course both being ozzy's.

Took Jonny to the Rock store Sunday morning, he had a blast up thru the canyon from Ventura, even got his photo taken by the "Rockstore photo" guy. Him dressed in the 60's jacket, helmet and goggles (traditional outfit for the Melee) riding a friends KTM supermoto, just didn't look right.....

It's a small world, i'm from the UK and i meet people all the time that know someone who know's me or i know them or our paths have crossed somewhere down the line...

Was just wondering, out loud.....................

WTF. How long will he be around?
I'd like him to bless the Convert.
(leftovers from a Catholic past).

The ropers are on their way to the getty villa, then neptunes net, then back to Oz tonight, it was great having them. here's how we spent thursday
Pete spent the day in my garage sorting various bikes, and downing only a few beers (I apparently drank to excess)
