Rotopax on Stelvio anyone?

Hey Dan,
That looks great. However, given you don't have any Givi bags to test the bracket with bags attached, are you sure you will be able to mount some Givi panniers with that bracket?
If it does that's cool. Maybe I will install one and we can do a trip to Vermont and haul back a gallon of whiskey each with those things!
Cory

Hey Cory,
The attachment I checked  ..... I installed my 46l topcase on the side. :woohoo:
The topcase has the same mounting clips.
Should have seen it ......the bike looked like a half ass, bee stung, Stelvio

Edit: Added pic .....

Hey Dan, I really like your solution. I looked at the Rotopax website, and there are a number of different mounts available for these containers. Which one did you use? None of them on the website look exactly like the one in your pics.

Thanks,

Bruce

Hey Bruce,

The 1 gal fuel pak is a # RX-1G
https://www.quadshop.ca/detail.php?id=32&d=11&c=2&start_pos=0
and the bracket I used has a # RX-PM
https://www.quadshop.ca/detail.php?id=38&d=11&c=5&start_pos=0
But the C clamps I had to make them myself .... took 2 plate 1mm thick x 2.5cm wide and drilled 2 holes on each plate lining up to the pre-drilled RX-PM bracket.
Note: When drilling the holes on the plate you have to take into account the tubular frame contour. (Holes are farther apart)

Cheers

I verified the other day that this method won't work with the Guzzi Trax bag mounts. Both front and rear supports angle in too quickly to allow the Rotopax to fit.

Hi DanPez

I was inspired by your solution as you can see here below

Rotopax 1 gallon next to the frame and the leather case right next for rain gear and other things.

Hi Juerg
Nice set-up ... glad it works out on your supports.

By the way...the rubber chicken give an added touch.

I managed a rotopax 1 gallon setup onto the stock saddlebag mounting brackets. it works pretty well. only catch is that you have to unscrew the handle all the way off to remove the gasoline. otherwise it doesn't clear the CARC.
I put the bracket at about 15 degrees off vertical in order to gain clearance. I can post more detailed photos of my sloppy welds if any one is curious.
