Hi there Gurus,

I am about to pick up a new Stelvio in the next couple of days, and just seeking a bit of 'advice and guidance,'...........from Dudes that actually have the 'hands on and personal knowledge,' of the subject.

Anyhow, very excited about the new baby coming home and want to do everything just right from day one.

Thanks in advance for any 'New Parent,' info.

Cheers and "Forza Guzzi !"

I bought my new 2013 in Sept from Riders Hill in Dahlonega GA, right in the heart of the best riding in GA. I put 600 miles on the bike riding it home, going to Tellico Plains and riding the Cherahola, and Deals gap. anyway I rode it like I stole it and didn't even try to baby it or keep it at a certain rpm. I have 2,300 miles on it now and it runs like a scalded dog. Probably not what most people would suggest, but that is how I broke in my new 2009 Concours 14 and after 35,000 miles on it no problems at all. You have to make the decision how you want to break her in.

Thanks............Well, being one that 'treasures,' my retirement funding.......and not being into the 'Grand Theft Auto/Bike,' scenario...........I will take your advice on board, and it is reassuring to hear that if one decides to......Well, flog the bastard from day one.........All shall be good !
Cheers
