I need to remove the seat and rear mudguard on my Cali EV but the 2 bolts that hold the rear seat down are both seized in! I'm talking about what appears to be 2 countersunk allen screws accessed from inside the rear mudguard, neither of them want to move despite having given them a good soaking with WD40. If they were anywhere else I'd have resorted to a bit of heat by now but given that the seat foam would likely go up in flames and the ECU is directly underneath-and probably very expensive to replace-I'm avoiding that option! Anyone got any suggestions?

Make your own penetrating oil. A 50/50 mix of acetone and ATF can work wonders. Apply several times over a few days and it should do the trick. BTW, WD 40 isn't very good as a penetrating oil.

Penetrating oil

Cheers for that, never heard of that trick before :) Normally I use diesel fuel but that works best if you can actually soak the offending item in it for 24 hours so it's not so effective just brushing it on plus of course you really don't want to risk getting diesel on a tyre especially with our roads tending to be a bit damp ;)
