Service campaign: V100 clutch master cylinder seals

I had my V100 in for it's first service yesterday. I showed this post to the service manager while I was waiting. He hadn't heard about it. The clutch did feel a bit different when I left. He didn't say anything about it though. Idle speed a was a bit higher so I guess they may have done an updated flash. Last time bike goes in unless there is a warranty issue, recall or ? that I can't address.

…I showed this post to the service manager while I was waiting. He hadn't heard about it…

This would cause me high anxiety.

Moto Guzzi issues very few campaigns and bulletins compared to other manufacturers, and to have a service manager who does not daily read the communications from the manufacturers they represent, is unacceptable to me.

Made yesterday my service at 12.000 km and clutch seal were changed. The girl (yes, not a guy but a young girl) told me that one of the 3 seals to be replaced was compromised, new parts installed. Now clutch lever feeling is much better and gears (especially 1st and 2nd) are a little easier to shift

My seals were replaced yesterday as well. I almost stalled when I took off because the clutch uptake is now shorter. This adjustment was not done on the clutch lever because it already was at its maximum to minimize clutch drag. I think that 1st gear clunk not as violent as before.

New campaign, all V100 models in stock or already sold. 30 minutes labor, 3 parts needed from Guzzi.

Hi there
I visited my dealer for another reason and asked him..by the way any news about the clutch and consequently bad / harsh shifting?...and he asked me if I was not notified about the waranty recall....he checked my vin and confirmed my V100 was include. We made an appointment and I got my clutch updated the other week. First impression is that I have pressure on my clutch leaver from the first milimeters on and that the engagement point now comes a bit later, which tells me that the clutch now makes a bigger stroke. The shifting has become much better and the clonk when engaging the 1st gear has become better too. It is a pitty that MG does not approach each V100 owner...which should not be a big deal considering the production volume!
