Just wanted to let everyone know to be careful about this bike. I have a feeling it might be a fake. I have asked the owner 3 times to verify the frame # on the right side of the steering head. Each time I have got an evasive/confused reply as if he doesn't know what I'm talking about.

I also pointed out that the # on the engine with prefix VC is an 850T #.

He insists it's a Lemans but without any proof. I'm not saying it's a fake but if anyone is thinking of buying it be careful.

I saw this on eBay, and immediately thought "fake". There are just too many things
that are not original. For me, the big give-aways were the engine # and rear indicator
stalks. Everything else on the bike are aftermarket items.

Lets face it; the only thing special about the early LMs were the heads, yet so many people
have idolized what is nothing more than a hot-rodded T3 with a cosmetic face lift. Well, that
might work for me as it artificially holds the price high for my LM, but seeing I'll never sell it,
market price means nothing.

Nothing like having your address plastered on eBay. Steve's online, perhaps I'll ping him.
