Hello everyone.
My v7ii special has done around 15,000 miles from new with no real gear issues other than a strange resistance trying to engage 1st. Somebody said it was due to the bike having a dry clutch ? Anyway , finding neutral is always a pain but I am living with that. Big problem occurred the other day . Bike would just not roll forward in first gear. Kept easing out the clutch bug the bike would not move. Pretty certain it was in gear as no neutral light on. Finally edged forward after loads of revs . Went for ride and gear changing up from 1st , 2nd, and third was terrible. Kept on revving erratically as if I had no idea how to change gear properly. Very embarrassing. After a fair big of riding it seemed to calm down and even pulled away nicely at lights from a stop. Have not checked it since but it also seems to be stalling more often . Bit worrying. Hoping it is just an adjustment issue at the lever /cable end and not something more internal , expensive and sinister ?
