My wife has a new Stone :D and even with the low seat she is still tippy-toed and asking about further ways to drop the seat height and I was wondering what would be a safe limit for shock shortening. I understand the stock unit is 390mm in length and was wondering if 30mm(1 3/16") shorter is to excessive, what would the limit be. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers

Not sure if there will be issues with the install but you will need to shorten the side stand and center stand if so equipped. Front should be lowered the same amount or perhaps an additional 10mm to maintain proper geometry and handling.

Regards, Paul

The shorter spec that works is 370mm. No kickstand issues with this length. I have the only avaiable set of Gazi (SportX only) in stock in the US; https://www.guzzitech.com/store/produc ... pathway-16

This will lower the seat around ~1". A few of these sets have been sold to female riders for this reason, with great success.

Contact me direct e-mail with any other questions if interested; Todd at GuzziTech.com

Why not just start with the accessory 1" lower seat and, if not done already, try backing off shock preload a bit?

Done and done. Still to no avail. Will have to do more research on this as a friend of ours put a 360mm shock on his wifes V7 Classic but I am concerned with inducing s handling issue if I shorten it up by greater than 20mm.

Cheers

WELLLLLLL, that was worth a shot...

OK then, how about Todd's shorter shocks (370mm) and thicker soled boots?
