Hi all new here. Just got a V7II Stornello 800 km on the clock. Love the bike so far, fall is starting but winter is a bit away still. Soon it is time for first service (1000km/600miles).

Looking through the V7II Stornello Owners Manual there's a fuel function "if supplied". When on reserve, the trip meter starts on 0 showing how far you went since fuel warning. Neat.

The function undoubtebly just software, i.e. as with all other functions/LED-displays some lines of code are activated keeping status updated. In this case when fuel light goes on a signal goes to the CPU meaning any V7 (II and earlier) could activate a code executing this function.

So, the question: when servicing will they also flash the code - i.e. upload the latest software which I assume would include this function?

(apologize for long post, and potential bad non-native language)

They (dealer) should. When they plug in PADS it will tell them if it needs updating or they can check for it. I certainly wouldn't think it would be real accurate, get fuel don't wait.
