Doing more and more two up riding , Just scored a 02 ST1100 (I know it looks like a scooter, but man it's one smoooth ride at 90!! And handles to boot) so the Stelvio is probably going away to be replaced with a scrambler of sort. Got a GPR slip on and a Russell day long (6' and 185#) if anybody is interested, bike to. It's been a great (if at times trying) experience owning a MG and many thanks for all the input from everybody!!

Arrivederci

Well , what does one say ? Like most things 'Honda' it'll prove to be great !
Hope it was a smoking deal :) . Peter

I came within a hair of selling mine.

When I found that I HAD to do a roller tappet conversion, and it looked like Guzzi/Piaggio wasn't going to cover the cost of the necessary parts to repair, my plan for the day was (1) Buy a new 2014 Triumph Trophy SE and (2) Sell or, more likely, part out the Stelvio because I just wasn't going to pay $1500 for the C kit and $900 to install it over a problem that Guzzi KNEW that they had caused but wouldn't admit it.

We went ahead and executed (1) (buy the Triumph) that very day. But then our dealer talked Guzzi into sending the part for free, installed it for me for the estimated $900, and I had a good-running Stelvio again, so I relented on the Part It Out plan and have put another 30,000 miles on it since.

I'll ride it until some uneconomical repair is required, I suppose. It's a very pleasant and functional bike to ride, and is in its happy middle age. I do enjoy riding it.

Enjoy that Honda. Massive mileage eaters, from what I hear; I've never ridden one.

Ha!
I was looking for a CTX1300 ( successor of the ST ) before my Cali 1400 popped up for sale near me.
Enjoy!

Might end up keeping the Guzz mostly because they aren't fetching any decent price, best offer I got is 4k......I'm sure someone is out there......

You will love the ST gringo, I had the 1300. They are big heavy beasts but all that weight seems to vanish when on the move.
Check out stowners.com it's a realy good site for good advice.
