Hi I have a 2002 Nevada and just fitted a speedo cable after running a year without one, but to no avail :( , would anyone have a suggestion as to why that might be?

I dont really have the understanding of the speedo mechanism in the front wheel. I see there is a grease nipple there, is it a part that is likely to cease up, and if so is this repairable.

Thanks Martin

There should be tangs from the drive unit that fit into the front wheel. If they have been bent (flattened) the drive can't turn the cable. Also be sure the cable is fully seated at each end. A test would be to jack up the front wheel, disconnect the speedometer and see of the cable turns (at the speedometer end) when you spin the front wheel.

Thanks mate, I bent the tang back in place, but still nothing. I`m assuming that the cable is seated correctly as the threaded ends completely screw on, but I`ll do as you suggest and disconnect the speedometer and see if I can get it to seat and turn.

I`ll let you know how I get along.

Cheers, Martin
