Stebel mounted on Griso 8V ?

Has anyone mounted a Stebel Compact Nautilus horn on their Griso 8V ?
If so. Assuming you separated the compressor and trumpet from each other; where did you mount the compressor ?


I've been searching; buy have not found any covered space where the compressor can be mounted in a proper vertical position. :(

I was under the impression the horn was a single unit, which I had tentatively planned to put where one of the existing horns are.

My understanding is you can use a hose between the two and locate the compressor elsewhere. I also read on other forums that the compressor can only be located in a single direction or it dies a horrible death.. mine is still sitting in the parts bin awaiting an install that was suppose to happen like 3 bikes ago :) so I my details are fuzzy.....

I need to get it installed, I heard one in person on a Yamaha R1 and said my damn car isn't that loud!
