Hi guys, I've just removed the stepper motor, isolator valve and its switch, plus all associated tubing/ wiring. This is because I never needed stepper after PC5/ AT installation, and hated its effect before instal. The holes left in airbox and throttles plugged. Under tank is now a whole lot simpler, and tanks fits better.
The trouble now is dash has "SERVICE" triangle up, scrolling thru tells me its "Stepper Error AC ECU 60", and VDSTS will not sync with ECU, like I did before, for TPS calibration. I've tried to clear ecu 60 in dash menu, but no effect.
My Q if I may is... how do I get out of this predicament...
1. Reconnect wire plug to Stepper, and leave under tank ( holes plugged, no hoses ) ??
2. Have ECU reflashed by Todd to delete Stepper items ?? ( I'm in UK )
3. Any other majical quick solution ??
4. Is this ECU 60 error preventing me syncing with VDSTS ??
Many thanks in anticipation, Robert.

Robert, it would take me a great handful of research to find the Stepper Motor code, and even then would be trial and error to see if it works or not. Plugging it back in would certainly be the easiest. I'll do a little research on my end.

Cheers Todd for research. It would be nice and tidy to not have a dummy stepper. Looking at service manual, it shows 3 stepper related items:
1. Stepper Error AC ECU 60
2. " " DC V DC ECU 61
3. " " DC Grid ECU 62
Only item 1. is showing in fault on my G8V, so far...
Robert.

DONT unplug thestepper motor. Only plug off the holes in the TBs. Let the stepper motor think it's doing it's thing.

Rob, e-mail sent. For anyone else interested; I am now able to delete the stepper motor ECU input/function - requires an ECU re-flash. Contact me direct e-mail for details; Todd at GuzziTech.com
