Question on Red and Green LED lights.
I am wondering if my Stucchi Aux. tank electronics are working correctly?
Full aux tank - No LED light on handlebar switch
When transferring fuel - Green light on switch
Right when Aux tank empties - Red light on switch till ignition is turned off
Next time bike is started with Aux. tank empty - No LED light on Handlebar

Does anybody out there know if this is normal? I would think the RED LED should stay on "always", through ignition cycles, till next time the Aux tank is filled up.

Hi,
I bought the entire wiring kit, but not the lights, for the Guzzi Auxiliary lights, for my 08 Stelvio. It includes the switch posted above. I use it to turn on/off my Xkglow HID light.
Xkglow assumes that you want the HID to come on with the bike's hi-beam, so their kit is designed to splice into your bike's hi-beam wiring. If you install it per their instructions, then the HID light comes on whenever you hit the bike's high-beam switch.
Regards,
Anthony

Red should be on anytime aux tank is empty BUT... The other day on a ride I hit the button, green light came on as usual then immediately to red and stayed on. Tank was empty but did not indicate that when I started the bike as it had in the past. Now before any ride I look in the tank to be sure. Tank has never failed to function when gas is in it though but I don't trust the light any longer!

This is a similar experience I had with mine, I ended up not trusting it. I eventually returned the unit.
I think it's overly complicated. The unit should be equipped with a simple override switch incase it all goes down the tube or lets say refuses to ;) .
I am waiting patiently to see if Stuchhi makes a new "improved" model. The Stucchi hardware setup is great and would allow for the easy install of a homemade tank, with a simple pump/switch.
