The missus told me last night her boss took monday off, so we're heading out on the breva right now, heading up 33 over to some other twisties to end up at SLO or Monterey tonight, then wander about towards santa cruz mountains then just ride until monday night.... first time the wife has taken a real bike trip with me in 15 years

scots valley up above santa cruz is very cool enjoy you time off

Good on you & Brenn, nice to see she's now going for it on a regular basis. Looking forward to a full report when you get back.

Funny Jon, you were a day behind me. I left Thursday mid-day to Monterey via the Coast, then up to Sonoma/Napa through yesterday. Great ride aboard a Stelv loaner. Pics to follow soon.

We had a great ride, found most all of the small twisty back roads between here and Monterey and inland, ground off much of the center stand and had a great time. Bren seems to prefer the more solid handling of the SS over the Breva, so we're going to do another trip shortly to compare. The SS does handle much better, and has more ground clearance, and is faster, but we can always sort the Breva... Anyway, it was a blast, and great to have the wife riding again... We did some pretty long days, but a jacuzzi cures that pretty easily... Breva ran flawlessly, and got ~45 mpg, much of it revving in 4th gear running into a stong headwind... and a bit a fair way past 100 mph. My brother and his wife met us for the last day, he has a kawasaki Vulcan big touring cruiser. We tried it, really comfortable, but weighed 822 lbs according to the magazine test... not a real handler.... The Breva smoked it pretty badly, but it did have low end torque. My brother has ridden my SS and really liked it, but not mechanical, he went jap. He actually thought the Breva was very jap like due to its refinement, thought my SS was much more of a motorcycle due to its crudeness

Gee. Time to do a Rally or group ride now.

Me? I'm heading east with Safety Bob for a long weekend.
Time to practice for retirement.
