Those of us with ally panniers will know about "That" space, that big hole behind the right hand pannier frame.
Its just begging to have something useful stashed in there.
After seeing something on a BMW at a rally I've found my solution!
On websites they're called "Tool tubes" but are used on tractors and diggers to store the operators manual.
I've used cable ties to rig mine temporarily but they seem to be holding well enough, and the best bit is that a Trangia 1 litre fuel bottle fits nicely inside. Extra petrol.
Underneath I've used a handlebar pouch which is useful for a few tools, puncture kit, or a pair of sunglasses and a few bungees.
On the second pic it looks like the torque arm is close to the tool tube but its not, there is loads of clearance.
I can fit the panniers on and nothing gets in the way.
