Hi...

Quite a while since I sold my 2v Griso, but stepped up again with a new non-current '09 Stelvio. So much fun.

Cam recall apparently done while it was still on the floor of a now-done dealer. Bought from Moto International in November.

But the slow, cyclic valve train noise. The kinda once-per-second wallow. No way to minimize it? Normal valve train clatter is fine. But the throbbing nature of it kinda bugs me. Only happens when warm.

I'll get used to it I have to.

Right side only, at this time. Only 400 miles on bike and not yet to 1st service, so that might change.

Mine is on the left side. Did not do it for the first 28,000 miles so it has me concerned. Guess I will be taking it in for a check.

Mine's on the left, slow cycle, a little more than one second at idle. Most noticeable when cold, barely noticeable when hot. Doesn't sound dangerous, just Guzzi-ish ....

Interesting, the variations.

Every thread I've read on it says forget about it. It's only a little annoying, I guess.

I too am choosing to ignore all (well almost) Guzzi engine noises.....they are noisy...

Yes! The best description I read somewhere about Guzzi engines is that they sound like a bunch of spanners in a washing machine. :D

Again, mine is the opposite, sounds perfect when cold and rattly when hot. I think just beyond "cyclic". I could be paranoid but, I also own a 2003 Titanium and experienced all that that wondrous experience had to offer.
