So.. I've just returned home after two months away, essentially, and Racer's battery was too flat to light the instrument panel. Yeah, even high tech LiIon batteries go flat without maintenance.
So I pulled out the expensive Optimate LiBattery charger, pulled the battery out of the bike, and set it on charge. The charger' pretest rated the battery as SAVE mode discharged. Well down, in other words. Forty-five minutes on that mode, another three hours on normal charge, another hour on optimize charge, and six hours on the test cycle... good to go, all green lights.
Refitted the battery this morning, one hit on the starter button and Racer leapt to life as usual, ready to head off to the show!
I love good tools...
Thanks Todd!
